I've been happy with my domain registrar over the years, but this made me particularly glad that I give money to them:

I know who my domain moneys are going to the next time I need one.

BTW, speaking of Haiti, don't forget to text 'HAITI' to 90999.

My domain moneys go nowhere right now.  I'm getting ready to start some side development work now though so I'll be picking one up as soon as I figure out what to call myself (would you buy something from SmileySoft?).

I already have MunkeeSoft.com!

And for the Urban Cowboy, check out how you can give you money directly to charities involved in direct contact with the earthquake victims here.  You could always send your own money voluntarily (in addition to the government sending your tax dollars involuntarily).  But, hey, maybe if there's enough response from individuals, the government may not kick in so much next time?

And 501(c)3 charities are under much more scrutiny than our government as to how finances are allocated.  Money donated to charity has a much, MUCH higher chance of helping their cause (as opposed to unscrupulous government channels).
